We are excited to announce that we have recently secured a grant from Innovate UK to help improve productivity in the construction sector. Worth just under £49,000, the grant will support us as we work on a major project managed by international engineering firm Laing O’Rourke.

The project aims to improve operative productivity in the construction industry. This will be achieved by creating a common platform that enables workers to employ technologies such as augmented, virtual and mixed reality tools. The platform can later be rolled out across the nuclear, residential, commercial fit out and manufacturing sectors.

For the project, we will be developing multiple methods of workforce data provision and collection, exploring how data can best be captured and harnessed on construction sites and in its offsite factories.

In order to secure the grant, we had to demonstrate how the project’s learnings would enhance our capabilities not only in the construction sector but also across the utilities, facilities management, education and training industries.

Multiple specialist companies have been brought on board to work across a number of different workstreams, collectively aiming to improve worker safety, productivity, and environmental efficiency.

We’re proud to have been chosen as by Laing O’Rourke as the data collection partner on part of this cutting-edge project, and to have had its importance recognised by Innovate UK.

We already work extensively within the construction industry, but we’re looking forward to further developing our products and upskilling our technical teams throughout the project, as well as working alongside some fantastic businesses. To see a demo of our services visit our demo section.
